Dulic-Markovic pointed out that Serbia will not give up its EU future and added that she hopes the talks on the Stabilisation and Association Agreement (SAA) will soon be resumed.
Lehne said there is a lot of political willingness in the EU to help Serbia, but that they also expect Serbia to engage in a constructive and concrete manner to solve key issues and conclude cooperation with the Hague Tribunal.
Stability of entire Southeast Europe depends on Serbia's political stability and economic progress, said Lehne adding that Serbia is the EU's key partner in the region which is why its further integration is in the Union's interest.
The collocutors agreed that a consensus of democratic forces, along with a dialogue with the international community, is a precondition for a successful continuation of reforms in Serbia.
