Head of the Serbian government's Office of Media Relations Srdjan Djuric said last night that at a session of the UN Security Council, outgoing UNMIK Chief Sorren Jessen-Petersen attempted to contest the report delivered by Head of the Coordinating Centre for Kosovo-Metohija Sanda Raskovic-Ivic and her explicit warning that Serbs and other non-ethnic Albanians in Kosovo are in an extremely difficult situation.

In a statement to the Tanjug news agency, Djuric said that while Jessen-Petersen was light-heartedly dismissing the facts at the UN SC session, it was reported that one Dragan Popovic was shot in Klina, whereas in Staro Gracko several tombstones in a Serbian cemetery were demolished.
The cruelty with which Jessen-Petersen is turning a blind eye whenever Serbs get killed and their holy objects demolished is astonishing, said Djuric and asked why the perpetrators of these crimes are remain unpunished.
