The Serbian Statistics Office has said that average gross salary in the Republic of Serbia in May 2006 amounted to 30,305 dinars, which is lower by 0.87% in nominal terms and by 2.81% in real terms than the average April salary.
May's take-home salary stood at 20,713 dinars, which is 0.83% and 2.77% less in nominal and real terms respectively than the April salary. Compared with the same month of 2005, the May net salary rose 23.8% nominally and 8.22% in real terms.
Serbia’s average gross salary in the January-May 2006 period rose 25.33% and 9.27% in nominal and real terms respectively against the same period of 2005.
The average net salary paid out from January to May 2006 nominally rose 25.35% nominally and 9.29% in real terms against the same period last year, the Statistics Office has said.
