She stressed that these are preliminary results because the agency will accept applications for re-registration of companies sent by mail prior to June 15.
According to her, the agency’s 12 organisational units as well as over 130 municipalities in Serbia received requests for re-registration, so all data should arrive at Belgrade headquarters in days-to-come.
The deadline for free re-registration of entrepreneurs expired yesterday, Petkovic-Jovanovic said noting that those that failed to file a request for re-registration will get an “inactive status” until June 15, 2007.
She added that the companies that want to re-register in that period will have to pay the same amount as when setting up a new company, and there is also a risk of losing the right to the company’s name.
