Vuksanovic told Tanjug news agency that rules, standards, regulations, conditions and childcare are equal for all in Serbia and that the Serbian government will try to protect interests of Serbian students and teachers in Kosovo-Metohija.
Vuksanovic, who was accompanied by President of the Coordinating Centre for Kosovo-Metohija Sanda Raskovic-Ivic, said that what we seek is nothing more than 26 national minorities in Serbia have.
The Minister informed Schook about extremely bad condition of a number of Serb schools in Kosovo-Metohija.
The meeting with Schook was also attended by president of the Serbian parliament’s committee for Kosovo-Metohija Dusan Prorokovic.
During the visit to expatriates in Osojane, the Istok municipality, Raskovic-Ivic pointed to the problem of abolishing transportation funds to members of non-Albanian communities and expressed readiness to organise a meeting with representatives of the Kosovo Ministry of Transport.
She expressed hope that the municipality of Istok will be one of decentralised municipalities within the high level of autonomy of Kosovo-Metohija.
Raskovic-Ivic and Vuksanovic also visited the Osojane primary school and the community of expatriates in Tucep as well as Kosovska Mitrovica, where they met with local authorities, school principals, educational workers, students and students’ parents.
