Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior Ivica Dačić met with Hungarian and Slovak Ministers of the Interior, Sándor Pintér and Matúš Šutaj Eštok, respectively, in Komárno, Slovakia today to discuss the current situation along the Western Balkan migration route.

During the meeting, an agreement was reached to continue taking all measures and actions in the fight against irregular migration.
Furthermore, the interlocutors recalled the positive assessment by European officials of the results achieved by Serbia and Hungary in curbing a major migration wave and significantly reducing the number of irregular migrants.
Dačić also noted that the Ministry of the Interior is implementing all necessary additional measures for more efficient surveillance at all border crossings.
