Serbian Minister of Trade, Tourism and Services Bojan Dimitrijevic announced that the Serbian government will discuss the Bill on trade tomorrow. The Bill is to bring domestic regulations in line with EU standards and offer solutions for auction, stock exchange and remote trade.
At the opening of a three-day consultation of market inspectors in Zlatibor, Dimitrijevic stressed that consumer rights protection will be this year's priority at the ministry.
Practical enforcement of reform trade laws means increased control of intellectual protection rights, sanctioning of illegal sale of compact discs and better control of textile goods, said the Minister.
He voiced expectation that the number of irregularities in the trade sector will be decreased through reports of misuse.
Around 200 market inspectors and guests are taking part in the consultation, and Montenegrin and Slovenian inspectors will share their experiences with their Serbian colleagues.
