Backi Monostor no longer infected area

The Serbian Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management ordered that the territory of Backi Monostor is no longer regarded as infected and endangered zone because of avian flu.
On March 2, Backi Monostor was proclaimed infected area after 18 dead swans were found in its vicinity, nine of which were infected with the bird flu virus.
No case of bird flu with humans or poultry was reported in the area during the special regime period.
