Deputy Prime Minister Aleksandar Vulin, who is on an official visit to Moscow, met today with Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Sergey Lavrov.
Vulin and Lavrov agreed that bilateral cooperation between Serbia and Russia is very good and is developing at all levels, stressing that both countries are interested in further improving the Serbian-Russian strategic partnership.
Vulin reiterated that he is proud that Serbia is not part of the anti-Russian hysteria and that it has not imposed sanctions on the Russian Federation.
He expressed his gratitude to Russia and Minister Lavrov for their principled stance on the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Serbia and for their selfless support to the fight of the Serbian people against the resolution on Srebrenica.
The Deputy Prime Minister and the Russian Minister of Foreign Affairs discussed models and mechanisms for establishing cooperation between the Republic of Serbia and the BRICS organisation.
Today in Moscow, Vulin also met with the Aide to the President of the Russian Federation, Nikolai Patrushev.
The two officials highlighted the mutual focus on further improvement of the strategic partnership between Serbia and Russia.
The Serbian Deputy Prime Minister also met with Russian Minister of Industry and Trade Anton Alikhanov.
During the talks, it was noted that Russia is one of Serbia's largest foreign trade partners and that the economic and trade cooperation between the two countries is at a high level.
The interlocutors also agreed that the excellent friendly and political relations of the two countries should be used for further improvement of cooperation.
