Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior Ivica Dačić today saw off from the base of the Helicopter Unit the specialist teams of the Department for Emergency Situations of the Interior Ministry as well as three helicopters of the Helicopter Unit, which will assist in extinguishing large fires in Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Republic of Greece.

Serbian teams will be engaged in extinguishing fires that engulfed the National Park "Sutjeska" - Tjentište and the wider area of the municipality of Bileća in Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as large forest fires near the Greek capital.
On that occasion, Dačić stated that Serbia is sending aid to Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as to Greece, through the Civil Protection Mechanism of the European Union.
The Deputy Prime Minister stated that a Kamov Ka-32 helicopter, carrying up to five tons of water, as well as 35 firefighters-rescuers with 12 vehicles are being sent to Greece, while Airbus H215 Super Puma helicopters with a carrying capacity of around four tons are being sent to fight fires in Bosnia and Herzegovina. An Augusta Bell 212 of less payload, with 11 flight crew members and one Emergency Sector Liaison Officer.
