Naumov said during his visit to the hydroelectric power plants Djerdap1 and Djerdap2 that despite the rise in the Danube flow, there are no and will not be any problems in the production of electricity.
Naumov recalled that the highest rise in the Danube flow was recorded in 1981, when it was 15,300 cubic meters per second. He added that the production of electricity at Djerdap1 is within normal limits for current hydrometeorology conditions, while at Djerdap2 there has been a reduction due to technical reasons.
He said that the plants have been working stably and securely for many years, and the current challenges will not threaten that.
Director of the hydroelectric power plant Djerdap1 Petar Manzalovic said that preparations were made for such a rise in the river flow since March and pointed out that Djerdap can accommodate even higher river levels.
