The Prime Minister pointed out that full membership in the EU remains one of the foreign policy priorities for Serbia, and he expressed his belief that support and cooperation with partners from the European Union will provide an additional incentive for the continuation of reforms.
When it comes to the reform agenda in the context of the Growth Plan for the Western Balkans, the Prime Minister emphasised that Serbia is fully committed to fulfilling the goals set by 2027.
According to Vučević, Serbia clearly outlined its priorities and showed determination in completing key reforms, as well as continuing the investment process in capital projects, among which the most important are infrastructure projects, primarily the continuation of railway infrastructure construction.
Giaufret expressed his hope that Serbia will speed up reforms towards EU accession, emphasising the new momentum for enlargement and the need to intensify reforms.
In this context, he particularly emphasised that the EU Growth Plan is an opportunity for Serbia to attract investments and that it will contribute to the country's development overall.
In this sense, he recalled that the government of Serbia should continue work on finalising the reform agenda as well as key reforms, such as the implementation of media laws and electoral reforms.
Giaufret also encouraged Serbia to speed up alignment with the EU's common foreign and security policy, stressing the importance of regional stability and continued efforts in dialogue with the EU mediation.
Vučević assessed that the cooperation with the EU Delegation is extremely good and expressed his belief that it will continue at the same level in the new mandate of the Serbian government.
