In a statement to the Tanjug news agency, Macut explained that the quotas were allocated based on last year’s figures, except for the Faculty of Philosophy, the Faculty of Dramatic Arts and the Faculty of Applied Arts.
These higher education institutions will be assigned quotas once they resume teaching and demonstrate that they have activated the replacement mechanism for completing the current academic year, the Prime Minister remarked.
According to him, the decision on enrolment quotas was made in the process of long-standing dialogue and coordination with universities, conducted over the past few months.
The Prime Minister noted that universities in Kosovska Mitrovica and Novi Pazar have successfully concluded their academic activities, while the universities in Niš and Kragujevac will do so within a month.
Regarding entrance exams, he said that professional guidelines for the enrolment process will be issued in the first half of July, specifying all procedures to be followed. The enrolment process is scheduled to conclude by 31 October, by which time the current academic year must be finalised and the new one commenced, he noted.
Accordingly, all faculties will receive explanations with instructions on implementation, and enrolment itself will take place in late July, i.e. the last week of July, the Prime Minister underlined.
