Prime Minister Professor Đuro Macut, MD, DSc, met today with Ambassador of Mexico to Serbia Carlos Isauro Félix Corona with whom he discussed current issues of bilateral cooperation and opportunities for its further strengthening.
Prime Minister Macut expressed hope that cooperation between Serbia and Mexico will continue to develop in the spirit of mutual trust, partnership and shared prosperity.
He emphasised that special attention should be paid to improving economic cooperation, exchange in the fields of telecommunications, education, culture and tourism.
The Prime Minister expressed gratitude to Mexico for its principled position of support for the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Serbia.
Ambassador Félix Corona expressed interest in further connecting business entities and exchanging experiences in the field of innovation and sustainable development, assessing that there is significant room for further deepening relations in the spirit of mutual respect and partnership.
The officials also agreed that it is possible to increase trade and investment, especially in the sectors of agriculture, technology and energy.
The Prime Minister and the Ambassador of Mexico also agreed that cultural cooperation further contributes to strengthening ties between the two peoples and creating a foundation for long-term and substantive cooperation.
Special importance was given to Specialised Expo 2027, which will be held in Belgrade as a platform for presenting the cultural and economic potential of both countries and all participating countries.
