Serbian Minister of International Economic Relations Milan Parivodic said today that companies from Greece, members of the Hellenic Business Association, invested a total of €1.3 billion in Serbia and employed more than 22,000 people.

In a presentation of the Hellenic Business Association in Belgrade, Parivodic said that the Serbian government is doing everything in its power to make it easier to foreign investors and to make Serbia a country where greenfield investments are carried out at greatest pace.
The Minister said that cooperation of Greek and Serbian businesspeople is good and expressed expectation that the companies from Greece will invest in the Serbian economy more.
Serbia is a fast changing country and I am convinced it will together with Greece become a spine of the economy of this part of Europe, said Parivodic.
The Hellenic Business Association was established in 2004 and is made up of companies with majority Greek capital operating in Serbia. Its aim is to support Greek entrepreneurs, promote the business environment and lure new direct investments on the Serbian market.
