In an introductory speech at a conference on the modernisation of work of communal services in Serbia, which is being held in the organisation of the HP company, Naumov said that implementation of the treaty on the establishment of the energy community in southeastern Europe is the most significant activity that leads to the integration of the Serbian energy sector into that of the European Union (EU).
According to Naumov, high standards of functioning of the energy sector in the EU will require the implementation of highest informatics standards in Serbia's energy sector and that is a real chance for expansion of cooperation between Serbia's entire energy sector and the HP company.
Naumov added that the agreement on stabilisation and association with the EU will also bind Serbia to apply the highest informatics standards once it is signed.
Director General of the Hewlett-Packard d.o.o. Slobodan Radic recalled that a year ago HP signed an agreement with EPS concerning a pilot project of introduction of a computerised accounting system to the company. He said that the introduction and application of HP's software solutions in EPS will improve business processes in that company.
The aim of the project is the introduction of unique standards and procedures, and monitoring and management of accounting data and financial flows.
Radic pointed out that with the application of HP's software and solutions the market value of ESP will also increase, while the leadership will have an insight into all financial operations.
