Labus said that the European Commission in its report said that Serbia needs to carry out reforms in the judiciary and administration more resolutely as these are the fields that made least progress.
Brok said that the European Parliament supports Serbia-Montenegro in its EU accession efforts and added that this institution will do everything in its power so that ratification of the agreement is carried out sooner.
He pointed out that European standards need to be applied before the signing of the Stabilisation and Association Agreement (SAA) and added that it will be a good signal for investors that Serbia is a safe place to invest.
During the talks, Brok invited Labus to visit Brussels and to address the European Parliament Committee on Foreign Affairs.
The meeting was also attended by German Ambassador to Serbia-Montenegro Andreas Zobel, who told Labus that more attention should be given to foreign investments as two German companies stopped negotiations in Serbia and went to Bulgaria to do business while three other companies from Germany are facing big problems in Serbia.
