In a statement to Tanjug news agency, Bubalo said that representatives of Greek banks expressed interest in taking part in the privatisation process in Serbia. The OTE telecommunications company wishes to participate in the privatisation of Mobtel, and Greek Hellenic Petrol in that of the Serbian Oil Industry.
Apart from companies that already have concrete ideas and interests, such as the National Bank of Greece which has given the best offer for Vojvodjanska Banka, there are several firms interested in important investments, as well as companies dealing with insurance and tourism, Bubalo said.
During the visit to Athens, Minister Bubalo is also scheduled to meet with Greek Deputy Minister of Economy and Finance Christos Folias.
The Greek-Serbian Business Council gathers representatives of major Greek companies from the banking, telecommunications, construction and oil industries.
This Council dedicates to solving the problems of businessmen and expanding cooperation between Greece and Serbia, with the help of the two states.
