Cotric said that the Association of Serbs in Romania is the best-organised and the most unanimous organisation of Serbs living abroad. He recalled that around four million Serbs live outside Serbia.
He announced that this year, the Ministry of Diaspora will forward bills on Serbian citizens living abroad and on Diaspora census to Serbian parliament, aiming to bring order into this area.
President of the Vojvodina Assembly Bojan Kostres said that there will soon come a day when the Serbs living in Romania will join the EU. He called on the members of the Association to become a bridge between Romania and Serbia and assist their native country in the EU integration process.
Serbia-Montenegrin Ambassador to Romania Dusan Crnogorcevic said that the cooperation between the countries is extraordinary in all areas, which is of great importance for the Serb community in Romania.
