Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Culture Maja Gojkovic today opened the Serbian Pavilion at the 60th international contemporary art exhibition at the Venice Biennale, where our country is represented by Aleksandar Denic with the “Exposition Coloniale” project.

Gojkovic pointed out that the exhibition “Exposition Coloniale”, which represents Serbia this year, the work of artist Aleksandar Denic and curator Ksenija Samardzija, directly and succinctly responds to the theme of this year’s Biennale, "Foreigners Everywhere".
I consider this performance one of the most significant proofs of our full commitment to freedom, independence and humanity, which must be defended precisely through art, Gojkovic pointed out.
Aleksandar Denic’s project “Exposition Coloniale” was selected in a public competition, and the implementation of the performance in the Serbian Pavilion was entrusted to the Belgrade City Museum.
