Invitation to young musicians to apply for SERBIA CREATES national competition

The Serbia Creates Music platform of the Serbian government is inviting young musicians, author bands and performers from Serbia to apply for the second national competition SERBIA CREATES: The Spotlight, and secure a performance at the most famous regional music festivals in Serbia, Croatia, Slovenia, Bulgaria, Romania, Hungary, Bosnia and Herzegovina, North Macedonia and Montenegro.

After the great success of the winners of last year's competition, who introduced themselves to audiences across the region and Europe at 22 festivals and 55 performances in six countries, this year's capacity has been expanded.

More than 120 performances were provided at more than 50 music festivals in as many as nine countries of the region. Bands, disc jockeys and all musicians (pop, rock, hip hop, rap, trap and popular urban music) can apply no later than 1 May via the online form on the serbiacreates.rs website.

This year, too, the selection of future music stars is left to an eminent jury, which will present a final selection of a maximum of four candidates for each genre, no later than 20 May, and the right to select musicians who will perform at festivals in the period until March 2025 is retained by the programme selections of the festival.

The Serbia Creates Music platform, as part of the national platform Serbia Creates of the Serbian government, implements the competition in cooperation with the actors of the entire music scene who recognise the importance of supporting and investing in young talent.

The realisation of the competition was supported by the European project LIVEMX (founded by Music Moves Europe), which aims to help and support the music industry at the European level.
