Serbian Deputy Prime Minister and head of the Serbian negotiating team for talks with the European Union (EU) Miroljub Labus said today in Kanjiza that negotiations with the EU will be continued on April 5, with talks on the free circulation of labour force, formation of institutions for the enforcement of the Stabilisation and Association Agreement (SAA), and the peaceful settlement of disputes that might arise during its enforcement.

After having confirmed that the negotiations will continue, Labus voiced hope that if Belgrade successfully completes cooperation with the Hague tribunal, the preparation of the SAA will be completed in June and that is when the agreement with Brussels will be signed.
Talks on the part of the SAA that deal with visa regime and illegal migration have been postponed for May this year because that issue is linked to the realisation of full cooperation with the Hague tribunal, Labus said.
The Serbian Deputy Prime Minister announced that during April experts from the Serbian negotiating team will travel to Brussels to solve pending technical issues.
According to him, the adoption of new Serbian constitution is not a precondition for signing SAA.
The Deputy Prime Minister says that he advocates the adoption of a new constitution prior to signing the agreement with the EU, but political parties, which are one of the basic conditions for its adoption, want early parliamentary elections to be held.
