Six bids for privatisation advisor for telecom sector submitted

The Serbian Privatisation Agency has said that six bidders applied for the privatisation advisor for telecommunications sector.
The offers were submitted by:
1. Merill Lynch Intl. 2. Goldman Sachs International 3. BNP Paribas 4. Consortium of EPIC Goldscheider und Wurmbock Unternehmensberatungs / gesellschaft m.b.H., Santander Investment SA and Central European Trust Company Limited (CET) 5. Consortium of Rothshild & Cie, Citadel Financial Advisory, Bird & Bird, lawyer’s office Drazic, Beatovic & Partneri, and Horus Telecom & Utilities 6. UBS Investment Bank.
The Serbian government decided on March 16 to launch a tender for privatisation advisor for the telecommunication sector. The invitation to submit offers was sent to 19 companies, namely: ABN AMRO Bank N.V; BNP Paribas; CA~IB Corporate Finance Beratungs Ges.m.b.H; Credit Swiss First Boston (Europe Limited); Deutsche Bank; Dresdner Kleinwort Wasserstein; EPIC Financial Consulting; Ernst & Young; Goldman Sachs International; HSBC Bank USA - London branch; JP Morgan; Lazard Freres; Lehman Brothers; Merrill Lynch International; Morgan Stanley; Nomura; Raiffeisen Investment; Rothschild; and UBS.
The decision on the privatisation advisor will be made within 15 days. The commission which will make this decision comprises Vladislav Cvetkovic, Branislav Zec, Milorad Bjelopetrovic and Zoran Branovacki.
