2005 GDP up more than 6%

The Serbian Statistics Office stated that GDP in the fourth quarter of 2005 stood at 309,867.1 million dinars, up 5.9% compared to the same period in 2004.
26% increase was recorded in the sector of transport, 16.2% in the sector of trade, 18.5% in the sector of financial services, 6.3% in the ore and stone mining sector and 2.6% in the sector of processing industry.
GDP for the 1999-2005 period annually rose 5.5% on average. By quarters, the recorded increase in 2005 was 5.6%, 7.3%, 6.4% and 5.9% respectively, compared to the same period in 2004.
The total annual GDP in 2005, representing the sum of the four quarters, stood at 1,094,375.5 million dinars, up 6.3% against 2004.
