First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Ivica Dacic met today with Director of the Department for Continental Europe of the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs Brice Roquefeuil.
Dacic recalled the historical ties between the two nations, the alliance in the most difficult historical moments and the long tradition of diplomatic relations between Serbia and France, whose 185th anniversary is being celebrated this year.
The Serbian Minister of Foreign Affairs pointed to the exceptional level of bilateral relations, economic cooperation and the multi-year trend of growth in the value of trade between the two countries.
He highlighted Serbia's commitment to further improving the political dialogue with France at a high and highest level.
The French side confirmed support for Serbia in the process of European integration, in the dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina, as well as in activities on the way to full membership in the International Organization of La Francophonie, according to a statement of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
