This document implies improvement of economic relations and represents one of the results of the sessions of the mixed commission for economic cooperation of the governments of Slovakia and Serbia and Montenegro.
Following the signing of the memorandum Parivodic said that it will lead to intensification of economic cooperation, and also of cooperation in the fields of trade, tourism, industry, energy, agriculture, standardisation and banking.
Malcharek said that the work of the mixed commission and the signing of the memorandum will result in the monitoring of the work of all three states, as well as taking concrete steps which will lead to further development of economic cooperation.
He said that Slovakia supports the process of integration of Serbia-Montenegro in the European Union, as well as the country’s accession to the World Trade Organisation. He added that his country is interested in participating in the construction of large energy systems, and in investing in other branches of the economy.
