Dinkic candidate for "Finance minister of the year 2005"

Member of the Management Board of the Vienna Stock Exchange (VSX) Michael Buhl said today that Serbian Minister of Finance Mladjan Dinkic has been nominated for the award "Finance minister of the year 2005." The competition is being organised by the European economic magazine "Euromoney."

Speaking at a press conference in Belgrade on the occasion of the announced cooperation between Vienna and Belgrade stock exchanges, Buhl said that "special credit" for successful reform of the Serbian economy goes to the Serbian government, and especially Minister of Finance Mladjan Dinkic, who achieved great success in his former capacity as National Bank of Serbia Governor.
According to Buhl, Dinkic deserves praise for excellently implemented tax and banking reforms in Serbia, as well as the signing-off of Serbia's foreign debt.
