Minister of Mining and Energy Dubravka Djedovic Handanovic stated today that the construction of the flue-gas desulfurization plant at the "Nikola Tesla A" thermal power plant (TENT) is in the final phase and that it will be put into trial operation by April.

Djedovic Handanovic pointed out that the construction of this plant is one of the most important ecological projects in Serbia, which will ensure cleaner air for the citizens of Obrenovac and its surroundings, as well as reducing sulfur dioxide emissions by about 10 times.
According to her, it is expected that the plant will be put into trial operation by April, and that it will contribute to a healthier environment, the extension of the working life of the power plant and compliance with the limit values of the European Union.
