Dacic, who is also the head of the Bureau for Coordinating the Work of the Security Services, said that the security situation was analysed at the session after the demonstrators' attempt to forcefully enter the Belgrade City Assembly.
On that occasion, it was concluded that, regardless of the numerous challenges and the fact that there had been talk for weeks in advance about the announcement of violent activities, which are primarily aimed at the violent conquest of institutions and the overthrow of the constitutional order, that the security situation in Serbia is stable, as well as that all elements of the security system will continue to act in a coordinated manner to protect the constitutional order, he repeated.
Dacic emphasised that acts of violence were most strongly condemned at the session.
According to him, it was pointed out that there were no political protests or activities, but that it was an attempt to forcefully enter institutions, such as the Belgrade City Assembly, and that it was therefore an attempt to violently overthrow the constitutional order of Serbia.
He assessed that the reaction of state authorities during yesterday's riots in front of the City Assembly building was restrained, and called on the authorities to sanction those who participated in the riots in the manner defined by law.
In this respect, the state supports all competent authorities to protect the constitutional order and all efforts to sanction those who used violence, expecting that the Ministry of the Interior and the prosecutor's office will act in accordance with the law, he said.
