Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance Sinisa Mali said today that the Executive Board of Directors of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) in Washington made a decision on the successful completion of the second review of the stand-by arrangement with Serbia.

On that occasion, Mali emphasised that the economy of our country is strong and stable, that macroeconomic indicators are good, and that the reforms we are implementing are correct, as confirmed by renowned international financial institutions.
According to the statement published after the meeting in Washington, the IMF stated that the macroeconomic results within the program remained strong, emphasising the recovery of economic growth, disinflation, reduction of the current deficit, as well as record high foreign exchange reserves.
Also, the IMF emphasized that the situation in the energy sector has stabilised, as well as that progress has been made in the management of state-owned enterprises.
