First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Ivica Dacic participated today in the 47th meeting of the Council of Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the member states of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation Organization (BSEC), which was held in an online format.

At the meeting, which was presided by Turkish Minister of Foreign Affairs Hakan Fidan, Dacic expressed his gratitude to the members of the BSEC for their constructiveness, especially during the recent Serbian presidency, which made it possible to resolve some perennial open issues.
He pointed to the strategic, economic and infrastructural importance and potential of the Black Sea region, praising the adoption of the updated Economic Agenda, an important strategic document of the Organisation, as well as the decision to extend the mandate of Secretary General Lazăr Comănescu and the national experts in his team.
The First Deputy Prime Minister expressed his belief that the BSEC can offer solutions to overcome all current challenges, based on mutual respect and understanding and responsible behavior of all actors.
Dacic reiterated Serbia’s commitment to, as a reliable partner within the BSEC, continue to contribute to the strengthening of this significant regional platform for dialogue and cooperation.
