Serbia exported $734.4 million, or 18.1 percent more than in the first quarter 2003, and imported $2.33 billion, a 40.8% increase over the same period a year earlier.
Trade deficit in the first quarter rose 54.5 percent year-on-year, to $1.6 billion, according to the statement.
Serbia exported $107 million of goods to Bosnia-Herzegovina, $97 million to Italy, and $83 million to Germany in the first quarter 2004, while the biggest exporters to Serbia were Germany ($315 million), Russia ($314 million), and Italy ($212 million), reads the statement.
