The session was also attended by team co-president and chief negotiator, Serbian President Boris Tadic and chief negotiator, Serbia-Montenegrin Minister of Foreign Affairs Vuk Draskovic.
During the meeting, preparations for the second round of talks on decentralisation, which will be held in Vienna on March 17, were examined. It was also confirmed that the Serbian delegation will consist of Leon Kojen, Slobodan Samardzic, Goran Bogdanovic, Marko Jaksic, Aleksandar Simic, Boris Begovic, Bosko Mijatovic and Thomas Fleiner.
Great concern was expressed at the election of Agim Ceku as prime minister of Kosovo, considering that Ceku is under suspicion of participating in war crimes against civilians.
The team also thinks that it is completely unacceptable and unprecedented that the tribunal in the Hague has allowed Ramus Haradinaj, a Hague indictee, to engage in political activities. Such decisions, according to the unified position of the negotiating team, can seriously jeopardise the course of talks which have recently begun in Vienna.
Other issues concerning political talks were also considered at the meeting.
