The National Bank of Serbia stated that the official talks of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) Mission with a delegation of the Republic of Serbia began with today's plenary meeting.
The talks are being held as part of the second review of the results of the Stand-by Arrangement approved by the IMF to our country on 19 December 2022.
The delegation of the Republic of Serbia is led by Governor of the National Bank of Serbia and Governor of the Republic of Serbia at the IMF Jorgovanka Tabakovic.
The IMF Mission, led by Donal McGettigan, will be on a visit to Belgrade until 31 October.
During the talks with the Mission, the current monetary, fiscal and macroeconomic trends and projections will be discussed, as well as the realisation of the goals set by the current programme.
The first review of the implementation of the economic programme ended in June 2023, when the IMF Executive Board made a decision on its successful completion.
On that occasion, regular consultation under Article IV of the Statute of this international financial organisation with our country was concluded, according to the statement.
