Opening this two-day ceremony, Vuksanovic said that the introduction of new, modern occupations in Serbian schools aims to give students not only the theoretical knowledge, but practical as well, so that they could be prepared for work as soon as they finish the school.
He said that with the support of the German Organisation for Technical Cooperation GTZ, the Serbian Ministry of Education and Sport introduced the experimental occupational profile of the business administrator in 18 pilot schools in 2003.
According to Vuksanovic, occupations such as business administrator, financial administrator and banking clerk are being introduced in Serbian schools because of the needs of the Serbian economy.
Students are given the opportunity to simulate the process of business operation and to acquire the ability of connecting theoretical and practical knowledge in virtual companies, which they will apply in their future workplaces, the Minister explained.
