Minister of European Integration Nemanja Starović met today with a delegation from the European Parliament, which, during a visit to the Ministry, had the opportunity to view an exhibition of the most disturbing photographs taken during the criminal Operation Storm in 1995.

In the discussion that followed, Starović presented to the delegation from the European Parliament the dynamics and results of the reform processes in Serbia, with a special emphasis on the implementation of the National Programme for the Adoption of the Acquis of the European Union, as well as the Reform Agenda and the EU Growth Plan for the Western Balkans.
He stated that membership of the European Union represents Serbia’s strategic commitment and a goal to which the country is fully committed.
It is obvious that in the current geopolitical circumstances, the EU’s enlargement policy is gaining momentum again, but this process, in order to maintain credibility and deliver proper results, should be based primarily on the merits of candidate countries, and as little as possible on political perceptions, vested interests and bilateral conditions, the Minister emphasised as a key message to the guests from the European Parliament.
