Minister of Public Administration and Local Self-Government Snežana Paunović stated today that the public administration reform in Serbia has not remained at the level of regulations and institutional changes, but has directly changed the day-to-day lives of citizens and the way businesses operate.

Speaking at the conference “A change that endures, a result that remains”, dedicated to presenting the most important achievements of public administration reform and future development directions, Paunović stated that today, 2.5 million e-citizens, or half of Serbia’s adult population, use the eGovernment Portal, which currently offers a total of 340 electronic services.
She announced that in the coming period, one of the priorities will be the further expansion of the concept of single administrative points, including the development of mobile single administrative points, adding that all this would not be possible without the EU’s continued support.
Deputy Head of the EU Delegation to Serbia Plamena Halacheva emphasised that for the European Union, public administration reform is not a technical or secondary issue, but one of the very foundations of the EU accession process.
