First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Ivica Dacic met today with a delegation of the House of Representatives of the Republic of Cyprus, headed by Chairman of the Foreign and European Affairs Committee and the Chairman of the Cyprus-Serbia Friendship Parliamentary Group Harris Georgiades.

Mutual support of Serbia, Cyprus on key issues of national interest

Dacic emphasised the exceptional importance that Serbia attaches to the relations with Cyprus, based on firm friendship, mutual trust, historically confirmed closeness and solidarity of the two peoples.
Firm and principled positions regarding support for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Serbia and Cyprus were confirmed on both sides, as well as full and unreserved support for the implementation of key foreign policy priorities of the two countries.
During the meeting, unbreakable ties between the two countries, based on mutual strong support for the national interests of Serbia and Cyprus, were highlighted, given that there is a general political consensus on this issue in both countries.
