First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Ivica Dacic met today with Deputy Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs of Japan for European Affairs and Special Representative for the Western Balkans Kimitake Nakamura who is visiting Belgrade on the occasion of holding regular bilateral political consultations between the two ministries.

Relations between Serbia, Japan constantly on rise

During the meeting, it was mutually assessed that the relations between the two countries are constantly on the rise, substantial and multi-layered, with the confirmed readiness for further strengthening of mutual dialogue and exchange of visits at all levels.
Dacic expressed great satisfaction over the fact that Serbia is a desirable destination for an increasing number of renowned Japanese companies, with the hope that their positive experiences will encourage the flow of new Japanese investments on our market.
The interlocutors underlined their interest in further strengthening cooperation in other areas, such as culture, education, science, technology, digitization and information and communication technologies.
The Deputy Prime Minister informed the Japanese delegation about the current, extremely complex developments in Kosovo and Metohija, according to the statement of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
