First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Ivica Dacic met on the sidelines of the general debate of the 78th session of the United Nations General Assembly with the foreign ministers of Jamaica, Kazakhstan and Palau.
In a meeting with Jamaica's head of diplomacy Kamina Johnson Smith, Dacic expressed readiness to improve overall relations and cooperation in areas of mutual interest.
The head of Serbian diplomacy took the opportunity to invite Minister Smith to visit Serbia.
At the meeting with his colleague from Kazakhstan Murat Nurtleu, Dacic emphasised Serbia's commitment to the further development of bilateral relations and cooperation with friendly Kazakhstan, as well as to the intensification of political dialogue.
The head of Serbian diplomacy said at the meeting with Minister of Foreign Affairs of Palau Gustav Aitaro, that we are glad that the friendly Palau, guided by the principles of international law, decided to withdraw the recognition of the so-called of Kosovo, which we see as true support for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the Republic of Serbia.
Earlier in the day, Dacic participated in the working breakfast of the South-East European Cooperation Process, organized by the chairmanship of North Macedonia, which was an opportunity to exchange opinions on all current issues, and during the day he also had a speech at the high-level meeting of the group of friends of the Alliance of Civilizations and at the preparatory ministerial meeting for the Summit of the Future.
In addition to these meetings, the head of Serbian diplomacy had the opportunity for short meetings and an exchange of views with NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg, the EU special envoy for dialogue between Pristina and Belgrade Miroslav Lajcak, US envoy for the Western Balkans Gabriel Escobar, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Israel Eli Cohen, Turkish Minister of Foreign Affairs Hakan Fidan and Eritrean Minister of Foreign Affairs Osman Saleh Mohammed.
