Stojkovic said that during his two-day visit to Macedonia, at the invitation of Macedonian Minister of Justice Meri Mladenovska-Gjorgjievska, he attended the opening of the Macedonian Academy for the training of judges and prosecutors. He added that the experience will be beneficial in establishing similar institutions in Serbia.
He said that the Macedonian solution will prove useful when the law on the education of judges and prosecutors is adopted, adding that this will round up the process of reform of the judiciary in Serbia.
He recalled that the strategy for judicial reform has been finalised, the law on criminal proceedings is entering due procedure, and laws on organised crime and war crimes have also been prepared, thus fulfilling all demands by the EU.
Stojkovic reached an agreement with the Macedonian Minister of Justice on intensive cooperation between the two countries in an exchange of experience in judicial reform and adaptation of regulations to European standards.
One of the basic aims of the two-day working visit of Serbian Minister of Justice to Macedonia is to exchange experiences on judicial reform with relevant colleagues in that country, in the context of the European integration of the two countries.
