On that occasion, Jovanovic emphasised the importance of these two draft laws, which were written in accordance with the Strategy for the Development of the Public Information System in the Republic of Serbia for the period from 2020 to 2025.
The Minister said that the proposals of the mentioned drafts were worked on very dedicatedly, thoroughly, with an effort to respect every opinion that could be relevant in order to obtain the best possible legal solutions.
This great work, he added, was done with the support of journalist and media associations, to which he expressed gratitude for their contribution.
He pointed out that a great deal of gratitude is owed to the international partners: the Delegation of the European Union, the OSCE Mission to Serbia, the Embassy of the Kingdom of Norway and the Konrad Adenauer Foundation, that were involved in the process of drafting the law in every possible way from day one.
Jovanovic invited all interested parties, the professional public, non-governmental organisations, representatives of public administration and all individuals to participate in the public discussion.
The Minister emphasised that he guarantees that every proposal that can improve the proposed drafts of the law on public information and the law on electronic media will be accepted.
