The Serbian government adopted at today's meeting the amended Decision on the establishment of the Fund for Young Talent of the Republic of Serbia.
The decision stipulates that next week the Fund will announce a competition for the awarding of prizes to high school students for their achievements in recognised competitions in the country and abroad during the calendar year 2022.
At the Competition, which will be open until the end of October, high school students who won one of the first three prizes in recognised competitions will be awarded, and the prizes range from RSD 20,000 to RSD 200,000, depending on the place won and the level of the competition.
Government members adopted, on the initiative of President of the Republic of Serbia Aleksandar Vucic, the Conclusion on consent that the service of mandatory genetic neonatal screening for spinal muscular atrophy for all newborns in Serbia is performed at the Faculty of Biology of the University of Belgrade.
The Bill on the Final Account of the 2022 Budget of the Republic of Serbia was passed, according to which the total income realised on the basis of the sale of non-financial assets of the budget of the Republic of Serbia for the year 2022 amount to a total of RSD 1,746,095,321,490.
Total expenses and expenditures for the acquisition of non-financial assets of the budget of the Republic of Serbia for 2022 amount to RSD 1,759,683,550,831, while the fiscal deficit is RSD 233,511,101,193.
In the structure of total budget income, the highest percentage refers to value added tax in the amount of 45 percent, then excise taxes amounting to 19 percent and non-tax revenues and receipts from the sale of non-financial assets, which participate in the structure with 13 percent.
The total public debt of the Republic of Serbia, at the level of the central government, on 31 December 2022, amounted to 55.1 percent of GDP.
During 2022, there was a decrease in the share of public debt in GDP at the central government level from 56.5 percent, the figure from the end of 2021, to 55.1 percent.
