The officials talked about bilateral relations, cooperation in the field of economy and energy, the issue of Kosovo and Metohija, the war in Ukraine, as well as other current international issues.
When it comes to Kosovo and Metohija, Dacic pointed out that Serbia appreciates the understanding of our position, as well as the objective assessment of the newly emerging situation, and noted that Pristina’s unilateral moves are obstructing the further flow of talks, but that Serbia remains determined in its policy of preserving peace and stability in the region, despite the provocations.
During the meeting, interest was expressed in improving the political dialogue at a high and highest level in the coming period.
The interlocutors assessed that there are additional opportunities for strengthening cooperation between Serbia and Great Britain.
The First Deputy Prime Minister also spoke with Minister of State for Europe at the French Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs Laurence Boone about the excellent level of bilateral relations between the two countries and the exceptional dynamics of the political dialogue.
The both sides expressed the will to maintain the achieved level of overall relations and to continue with its strengthening and highlighted the strategic partnership of Serbia and France and its importance for further improvement of cooperation in various areas of mutual interest.
The French side once again voiced support to the European integration of Serbia, and to the process of dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina.
During the conversation, opinions were also exchanged on all other issues and current foreign policy topics of common interest.
On the sidelines of the Bled Strategic Forum, Dacic also met with a delegation of the Atlantic Council from Washington, and on that occasion he emphasised the importance of the United States' support to date for Serbia's European path, and expressed his belief that it will remain on those lines.
In the conversation with the delegation, which was led by Senior Director of the Europe Centre at the Atlantic Council Jorn Fleck, topics related to regional stability and security, economic prosperity and continuity in the field of reforms of the Western Balkans and Serbia were discussed.
The First Deputy Prime Minister also pointed out the importance of improved high-level political dialogue in recent years and our interest in continuing the positive trend, especially when it comes to economic cooperation and attracting new American investments.
