Delegation of Serbia on visit to Republika Srpska

Belgrade/Banja Luka, 4 August 2023

A delegation of the Republic of Serbia, led by President of Serbia Aleksandar Vucic and Prime Minister Ana Brnabic, has been on an official visit to Republika Srpska since yesterday, where they will attend the meeting of the Council for Cooperation between Serbia and Republika Srpska, as well as the commemoration of the Day of Remembrance of all Serbs who died and were exiled in armed action “Storm”.

Yesterday, Vucic and Brnabic, together with the highest representatives of Republika Srpska, visited the newly built kindergarten “Serbia” in the municipality of Srbac, in Republika Srpska.

Today in Banja Luka, the meeting of the Prime Minister of Serbia with Prime Minister of Republika Srpska Radovan Viskovic, as well as the meeting of President Vucic with the President of Republika Srpska Milorad Dodik and the Serbian member of the BiH Presidency Zeljka Cvijanovic is scheduled.

The chairs of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia and the National Assembly of Republika Srpska Vladimir Orlic and Nenad Stevandic will also have meetings.

After that, there will be a meeting of the two governments, then a meeting of the Council for Cooperation between the Republic of Serbia and Republika Srpska, as well as the signing of the Agreement on the construction of two memorial centers dedicated to the victims of Jasenovac - one in Gradina, the other in Belgrade.

Vucic and Dodik will lay wreaths at the memorial on Petrovacka cesta, after which the officials of Serbia and Republika Srpska will attend the central ceremony marking the Day of Remembrance for all the victims and exiled Serbs in the armed action “Storm”, which will be held for the first time in Republika Srpska, in Prijedor.
