Speaking at a joint press conference at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, after the talks with Ramdin, Dacic pointed out that the two countries expressed their readiness to develop cooperation at the highest level in all fields.
The First Deputy Prime Minister expressed his gratitude to Suriname for withdrawing its recognition of the unilaterally declared independence of "Kosovo" in 2017, recalling that after that decision, 27 other countries withdrew their recognition.
In addition, Suriname also voted against the request of "Kosovo" for admission to UNESCO and Interpol, which was of capital importance for us, emphasised the First Deputy Prime Minister.
We are ready to develop our cooperation at the highest level and in all areas. On the bilateral level, this is done by visits at the highest level, by forming a joint committee, that is, a commission for cooperation, by holding political consultations between our two ministries, said Dacic.
Ramdin stated that Suriname respects the territorial integrity of Serbia and will continue to support our country in this matter, adding that there are great opportunities for cooperation between the two countries in the field of the economy and business.
We will be an oil and gas producer in the next few years and I see this as a great opportunity for Serbian companies. I also see opportunities in the field of agriculture, said the Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Business and International Cooperation of the Republic of Suriname.
