President of the Republic of Serbia Aleksandar Vucic said last night in Brussels that he asked NATO and KFOR to ensure a dignified life for Serbs in Kosovo and Metohija.
In a statement to journalists made after the talks with NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg and EU Special Representative for Belgrade-Pristina Dialogue Miroslav Lajcak, Vucic said that he had expressed to officials in Brussels our concern about the position of Serbs in Kosovo and Metohija.
He pointed out that our country is concerned about the arbitrary arrest and persecution of the Serbian population, as well as the desire for the Serbs to be expelled not only from the north, but from the entire Kosovo and Metohija.
I asked NATO and KFOR to implement their role in accordance with Resolution 1244 of the UN Security Council and the Charter of the UN, stated Vucic and added that Belgrade submitted evidence in writing to the NATO Secretary-General about everything that was done against the Serbian people since the Prime Minister of Pristina's temporary institutions Albin Kurti came to power.
The President of the Republic pointed out that during the talks with Lajcak, the desire to achieve de-escalation as soon as possible was expressed.
