Loncar, Urstad meet

Serbian Minister of Public Administration and Local Self-Government Zoran Loncar met today with the newly appointed Head of the OSCE Mission to Serbia-Montenegro Hans Ola Urstad. The two officials agreed on concrete future forms of mutual cooperation.
The Serbian Ministry of Public Administration and Local Self-Government stated that Urstad expressed readiness to support further activities of the ministry, above all the formation of the Ombudsman Office.
The officials agreed that the ministry and the OSCE should work together on amending the Law on local self-government and the Law on citizens' associations, as well as other issues of common interest for both parties.
Loncar and Urstad also discussed other activities planned for 2006.
At a meeting, highly beneficial cooperation between the Serbian Ministry of Public Administration and Local Self-Government and the OSCE Mission in the past period was specially highlighted and both parties expressed readiness to further improve this cooperation, reads the ministry's statement.
