The memorandum was signed by Director General Zoran Drobnjak on behalf of the Public Enterprise “Roads of Serbia” with Director of “Croatian Motorways” Boris Huzjan.
Vesic explained that from September, drivers from Serbia and Croatia will pass toll booths in both countries without waiting, recalling that at the beginning of July, the process of integrated tolling between Serbia and North Macedonia was launched, which is already producing fantastic results.
He added that projects like this prove that Serbia and Croatia can jointly solve problems and create the future, and expressed his belief that the two countries will continue to work on new joint projects in the future.
The Minister said that it is the desire of the government of Serbia to abolish all barriers that can be abolished in this region, expressing his belief that together we can solve many problems, regulate our relations and enable people to travel comfortably through both countries.
Drobnjak pointed out that the Memorandum will enable not only a unified billing system through Serbia and Croatia, but also the continuation of cooperation between Serbian and Croatian companies.
Huzjan assessed that the signing of the Memorandum marks the beginning of an important cooperation between Serbian and Croatian road companies.
This agreement does not only mean the interoperability of the billing system, but much more, said Huzjan and added that in this way, both Croatian and Serbian companies will have the opportunity to transfer knowledge and experience to each other.
