The Serbian Statistical Office stated today that the average monthly gross salary in Serbia in January 2006 totaled 26,603 dinars, down 17.49% in nominal terms and down 18.06% in real terms against December 2005.
An average January salary before tax and other contributions totaled 18,191 dinars, down 17.61% in nominal terms and down 18.18% in real terms against December 2005.
An average gross salary in Serbia in January 2006 went up from the January 2005 average by 27.30% and 10.41% in nominal and real terms respectively, while the average net salary in January 2006 went up 27.54% in nominal terms and 10.62% in real terms, reads the statement.
